PEMBUATAN LABEL CERDAS FILM INDIKATOR KESEGARAN BERBAHAN DASAR PATI GANYONG

Abstract

Smart packaging is an innovation in packaging systems that can monitor and provide information to producers and consumers regarding the quality of packaged products. One of the smart packaging that is currently receiving attention is the indicator smart label. This smart label can monitor product freshness by providing information in the form of color changes. Research related to making smart labels in the form of films has been carried out. In this study, the dyes and substrates that make up the indicator films used came from natural ingredients that are easy to find because of their abundant availability in nature. The smart label of this indicator film will be tested for its sensitivity to pH and amine gas solutions as a simulator of the pH and gas produced by fresh food products when they experience quality deterioration. This research produces indicator films that are reactive to both elements of the simulator. This is a supporting factor that the resulting indicator film can be applied to fresh food packaging as a smart label
