This study examines the translation techniques and strategies applied to declarative sentences in the Annual Report of PT HM Sampoerna Tbk, translated from Indonesian to English. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, the study aims to identify the types of declarative sentences containing statements, as categorized by Putrayasa’s theory (2017), and to analyze the translation techniques and strategies based on Molina and Albir’s translation techniques theory (2002) and Suryawinata and Haryanto’s translation strategy theory (2016). This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The data comprises 100 declarative sentences that explicitly include at least a subject and a predicate. The findings reveal that the most common type of declarative sentence is the Inductive type, comprising 38% of the data. The most frequently used translation technique is Literal Translation at 23%, while the Cultural Equivalent strategy is applied in 48% of the cases. These results suggest that the translator strives to balance the preservation of original meaning with the adaptation to cultural elements in the target language (English).
