Analisis Dampak Implementasi PSAK 71 pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19 terhadap Cadangan Kerugian Penurunan Nilai dan Kinerja Keuangan Perusahaan di Industri Pembiayaan Konsumen yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia
Abstract
Indonesia Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) 71 ‘Financial Instruments’ replaces a majority of parts in PSAK 55. The standard is effective in 2020 which is the same year of covid-19 pandemic happening in Indonesia. One of the most significant changes in PSAK 71 is allowance for impairment losses method. This study aims to analyze the impact of the implementation of PSAK 71 in covid-19 pandemic on the company’s allowance for impairment and financial performance in consumer financing industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The type of this study is descriptive quantitative with financial reports publication as the object. The samples used in this study were eight consumer financing companies from a population of thirty with nonprobability sampling (purposive) as the sampling method. Financial performance is measured by financial ratio analysis, such as liquidity, solvability, profitability, and activity. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant increase in the allowance for impairment losses due to the implementation of PSAK 71 with an average increase of 71,11% in 2020. In the same period, financial performance of consumer financing companies tended to decline. One of the main factors of it was the decline in net profit due to decreased in operating income and increased in operating expenses. Meanwhile in the second period of the implementation of PSAK 71 (2021), there was a decrease in CKPN with an average of 5,33% and an increase in company’s financial performance.
